Here are the pictures of my FREEing 1/4 scale Kagami Hiiragi using my new Nixon Coolpix S3000 camera. It takes much better pictures than my previous camera which was a Aiptek DZO-V50. I purchased Kagami at the recent Animefest Convention in Dallas, TX.

FREEing makes amazing large scale figures. They are really detailed, and the Lucky Star gymsuit line has actual cloth gym suits.
But unfortunately they cost quit a bit, which has limited my collecting the full set. I only own two other FREEing 1/4 scales, Haruhi Suzumiya and Mikuru Asahina. Konata, Kagami, Tsukasa, and Miyuki are already out, and they have Yutaka, Minami, Patrica, and Hiyori planned for release between now and January
Since the uniforms are made of cloth they can be removed. I just don't like how obvious the joint connection is on the left arm. But, if you ever wonder what kind of undergarment Kagami wears it's apparently a sports bra and....

The Vash Revoltech figure I ordered from J-List came in. This is my first Revoltech figure. It's a great figure, but can be a pain in the ass to pose due to all the joints. Still it's probably the best Vash figure out there. I also ordered the May issue of Comptiq with Vash. It came with a Lucky Star pillowcase.

I tried setting up some of the poses featured on the back of the box. This is my favorite pose, but the wall he's sitting on doesn't fit very tight on the support base so he falls over very easy.
Also, for anyone with their own Vash and trying to replicate this pose. I has to pull the shoulder joints out some in order to get his arm to bend to the proper position.
Behind the back shot! Reminded me of episode 9 with the robot sentries, although the pose is different in the anime.

Here is the Comptiq I ordered.
I ordered it for this pillowcase of a a pink haired Kagami dressed as Miku Hatsune, and I just love the way Miyuki looks in the background.
Ordered Genshiken 2 Volume 3 and the artbox for the series from Rightstuf. They came in a couple days ago. The artbox also came with a T-shirt that reads "Otaku Shop For Dojin". I ordered Lucky Star 4 and the Ai Yori Aoshi game with these, but both are on back order so haven't came in yet.

The second Fuku-bukuro bag I ordered from J-list finally arrived this week. Fuku-bukuro are basicly grab bags that stores in Japan put together at the start of the year with old or overstocked merchandise, and then sell at a price lower than the value of the items in the bag. Think of it as a clearance sale where you have no idea what your buying until after you've bought it.

I have to say they didn't skimp on the contents. This was their $80.00 anime bag, and total value of the contents is probably around $170-180. So was well worth the money, and I got some really nice stuff. I defiantly plan on getting one or two of these next year if they do the sale again.
This is Sonic Diver Rai-Jin from Sky Girls. It was the most expensive item in the package at $62.00. I'm not familiar with the series, but it's a nice looking mech, and extremely articulated. It's supposed to transform from the robot mode here into a aircraft mode, the problem is there seem kind of flimsy and some can pop loose when moving them. Another problem with mine is the pilots right arm was broken off in the package. Going to try getting the peg out of the arm and gluing it back together, because the point it broke at is a joint for moving the arm.
This a Sega Arcade Prize figure of Mari from Evangelion 2.0. I wish the UFO Catchers here had stuff like this for prizes. They usually only have stuffed animals. I haven't watched Evangelion 2.0 yet. If you've seen it feel free to let me know what you thought of it.
This Haruhi trading figure is nice, but was hoping it was the bunny girl or maid outfit Mikuru when I opened the box.
She comes with a removable megaphone.
I got 4 Lucky Star trading figures . There are 5 figures in this set, plus I think a secret figure. Of the 5 these were the ones I was hoping to get. If anyone's wondering the fifth figure was Yui, and I'm not sure who the secret figure is.
There were two boxes of the Ikki Tousen pastel version trading figures. I got Sonsaku Hakufu,.....
and the rare bronze painted version of Sonsaku Hakufu. The pastel version is actually a re-release of another set of trading figures with the characters clothing painted pink. The orginal set is much nicer with the final base when all 6 figures are put together forming a huge dragon.
These are two Evangelion trading figure clocks. There are 4 clocks in the set with the other two being Rei and Asuka's Evangelion's.
Now this is what you typically find in the UFO Catchers here. This a stuffed Sonic the Hedgehog from Sega.
These are Space Battleship Yamato trading figures. Never seen any of this series either, but have some of the US releases in my Netflix instant queue.
Got 4 gashapons, all of the keychains. Two Super Mario Bro's keychains, a Bleach Rukia soundrop, and another banana peeling.
I wonder who in Japan actually thought people would want to buy this. It's upside down in the picture because it won't stand up without double sided tape attached to legs.
The skirts on these Hip Parade trading figures is removable.

Anyone actually buy any of the Hip Parade or Bust Emperor figures? I'm guessing not to many people did, which why they threw 5 of these into my box.
And last of all were this little video games. According to the box there are 6 different games you can collect, but it's basicly the same two games each with three different character graphics.
Got the May issue of Compace in the mail today. Another Japanese magazine I ordered just for the figure it came with. And this magazine is thick. Like phone book thick, and features various manga such as Lucky Star, Churuya-san, Melty Blood, and Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally. Do many of you buy magazines just for the bonus items?

First loot of this month came in today. I ordered the April issue of Comptiq from J-List for the Konata figure it came with. J-list doesn't carry Compace, so I had to order it from Ebay to get Kagami figure. Hopefully it will be be in sometime this week. Can't read of lick of Japanese though, so the magazine is just decoration for now. But if I ever get around to learning any written Japanese it's something to practice with.

Konata came packed in quite a large box for the size of the figure. She's only about 2 inches tall.
She's nicely detailed for such a small figure. I wasn't to keen on the tear drop on her head at first, because it looked more like a hair accessory than an emotive icon at first. But after putting the figure together with the desk it looks better.
Konata comes with a removable book bag.
This issue also had information on a Lucky Star CCG (Collectible Card Game), and even came with a promo card. Since, I don't have anywhere to put the card on display, I left it in the envelope in the magazine. The name of the game is Weiß Schwarz.

There was also a pull out double sided poster. I forgot to take a picture of it though. I'll snap a pic tomorrow or Monday and post it then. They also had a article on the new Wii Haruhi game. The game looks like a visual novel style game, which means it'll probably never see the light of day in the US. It would be a shame though if it doesn't the screen shots look like it might be a pretty good game.
In a last attempt to get Soul Calibur 4, and Devil May Cry 4 for only $10 I went by Best Buy again to see if just maybe they had gotten some more of the games in before the sale end. They hadn't so I used my $15.00 in Reward Zone certificates to buy Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core for the PSP. which was $19.99.
The game has an interesting control scheme, which takes some getting used to. Especially the timing for blocks and dodges. Combat is done in real time and you cycle through commands such as fight, spells, items using the left and right buttons on top of the PSP, and if you time it right you can dodge or block incoming spells or attacks with the triangle and square buttons. My biggest problem with dodge is it usually dodges your right toward the enemy getting you hit anyway, especially against large bosses like Ifirit.
