Goro Miyazaki, son of Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke), is directing an animated version of the Tales of Earthseas. Not sure if he's focusing on mearly the first book of the searies, written by Ursula K. Le Guin, or combing multiple books like Sci Fi did in thier awful live action film last year.

Never seen anything by Goro Miyazaki, but if he's anything like his father the movie should be good. The film will be released by Studio Ghibli and will be released in July in Japan.

Silent Hill Trailer Hits The Web!

Silent Hill is a series of games that have been released on the Playstation mainly. So yes it is a video game based movie, but this one looks like its been done right. If the trailer is anything to go by they have managed to capture the feel and suspense of the games. The story is original, but considering the only thing the 4 games had in common was they took place in Silent Hill thats ok. An orginal story will likely work better than trying to transfer one of the stories from the game which people have already played thru and know whats going to happen.

Anyway here is the link to the trailer, enjoy.

Variety.com is reporting Fox is in talks to renew the Futurama Series

""Futurama" may live to see the year 3000 after all. Talks have begun at 20th Century Fox TV to revive the animated skein, which takes place in the next millennium, much in the same way "Family Guy" found new life after cancellation.."

1up.com has a review of the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 2.

In thier review they say, "If the first Kingdom Hearts was a crazy experiment, then the sequel is the final product, refined and polished in dozens of small-but-important ways. One of the most obvious improvements is the game's massively higher budget; though the first looked nice, Kingdom Hearts II is one of the best looking games the PS2 has ever -- or will ever -- see. From photorealistic models to "I can't believe it's not PS3" massive battles, the game convinces the aging PS2 hardware to do things that seem nearly impossible."

Kingdom Hearts 2 is due out this Spring, and I can't wait to play it. The first Kingdom Hearts was an amazing game and this one is sure to top it. Read more On " "!
